Children's Programs
Children's Story Times:
Tuesdays at 10:30 AM – “STORY HOUR” -
for pre-school children ages 3 – 5 years.
Stories, finger plays, rhymes, and a craft or coloring page.
Fridays at 10:30 AM – “MOTHER GOOSE STORY TIME” –
for toddlers and very young children up to 3 years of ages.
Interactive stories, rhymes, and finger plays.
Friday Fun:
Check our event calendar to find out about crafts, games and puzzles available for afternoon fun.
SUMMER READING PROGRAM
A summer reading program is held each year, for children who are reading or being read to.
For each hour of reading, children receive a sticker to put on their reading record.
After 5 hours of reading, children may choose a “treasure” from the treasure chest.
The summer ends with a Pizza & Ice Cream Party for those children who have actively
participated in the reading program. Registration is required for this program.
Holiday Celebrations
The Library has special holiday programs to celebrate Christmas, Halloween, and Valentines’s Day. Click here to see what we have planned for this year.
VALENTINE’S DAY TEA:
An annual event co-sponsored by the Library and the Sharon Historical Society.
This tea is held on the 1st or 2nd Saturday in February.
Registration is required for this event.

CHESS FOR CHILDREN:
Tuesday evenings during the summer, a chess club for children is held here at the Library,
with instruction available from a community volunteer. Call the Library for more information.
LUCKY, THE READING BUDDY DOG
Tuesday evenings during the summer, Lucky, the reading buddy dog,
visits the Library to listen to children who would like to read to him.
Besides being a fantastic listener, he loves any and all attention children visiting the Library give him.
VARIOUS OTHER CRAFT EVENTS AND CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES ARE PLANNED DURING THE YEAR.
