Annual Summer Book Sale
An annual summer favorite, the Hotchkiss Library of Sharon has hosted a used book sale for over 20 years. Once a small event, the sale has grown to include many more materials as well as a silent auction. The book sale occurs the day after the Sharon Summer Book Signing and coincides with the Sharon Arts and Crafts Fair on the town green.
The book sale includes many ranging categories including art, anthropology, psychology, science, health, women, cooking, gardening, antiques, architecture, humor, essays, short stories, literature, plays, music, film, among many others.
The Book Sale Committee accepts donations starting in January and sets a cut off date for donations as the sale becomes closer. The committee accepts gently used hardcover, softcover, mass market paperback, books on tape or CD, DVDs, VHS, as well as rare and valuable books. We cannot sell encyclopedia sets, textbooks, condensed books, or any materials that are moldy or mildewed. If you would like to donate books you may bring them to the library when donations are accepted.
