The Hotchkiss Library of Sharon is pleased to present an art show featuring the work of Sharon resident Arthur Getz (1913 – 1996). ‘City and Country’ will open Saturday, May 5 and run through Saturday, June 30. Best known as the most prolific cover artist of The New Yorker magazine, the exhibit will include a variety of Getz’s fine art as well as his New Yorker-related work. A graduate of Pratt Institute, Getz lived in New York City for much of his life before relocating to Connecticut in the late 1960s. The opening reception will take place on Saturday, May 5, 4-6pm.
