On Tuesday, July 25, at 11:00 am, we welcome the return of Sunny Kellner. Sunny is the Wildlife Rehabilitation & Outreach Coordinator at the Sharon Audubon Center located in Sharon, CT and travels throughout Connecticut and New York State teaching programs to school groups and organizations about birds of prey, reptiles and other nature or wildlife related topics. Currently, she also oversees the Center’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Program which admits over 300 injured and orphaned birds each year with the hope of releasing them back into the wild.
Various species of animals, as well as several props, will accompany Sunny to demonstrate their beauty, power and connection with the natural world. The audience will have the opportunity to see and touch some of the Audubon Center’s resident animals such as a bird, turtle, snake and insects as we discuss their adaptations for survival. This program will take place on the Library Lawn.
Please call to let us know you are coming at 860 364-5041.
