Art Exhibit: “Color Changes” by John Carter

January 10 - February 28

The Hotchkiss Library of Sharon is pleased to present an art show featuring John Carter titled “Color Changes,” starting Saturday, January 10, and running until Wednesday, February 28. Carter is an Episcopal priest who served at St. John’s Church in Salisbury for 15 years, and has lived in Lakeville with his wife Deborah for 19. Meeting: Friends of the Hotchkiss Library

Hotchkiss Library Book Group: “Shirley Jackson: A Rather Haunted Life” by Ruth Franklin

The Hotchkiss Library Book Group meets on the first Tuesday evening every month. March Madness: Amazing Animals of the World

Join Mrs. Robin and visiting artist Fay O’Meara for a three part program on Saturdays March 10, 17 and 24, from 11:00 to noon for Amazing Animals of the World! We will hop around the countries of the world to encounter the strange and wonderful animals of our planet. Using fabrics we will create fantastic fish, fowl and four-legged beasts. It’s not just breakfast anymore, but you can still stay in your pajamas! It’s Once Upon a Pie Club on Saturdays in February and March at 12:15 at the library! Come for pizza and stay for stories. The Beethoven String Quartet Cycle: A Lecture by Oskar Espina-Ruiz

On Saturday, March 24, at 4pm, Oskar Espina-Ruiz, artistic director at Music Mountain and a faculty member at the  University of North Carolina School of the Arts, will present a lecture, with audio and visual accompaniment, on the Beethoven String Quartet Cycle. These quartets will be performed at Music Mountain in a series of six concerts during the summer of 2018 by the world-renowned Shanghai String Quarter.
