Space Cadets!

October 30, 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

This fall, Mrs. Robin presents an after-school program designed to please young astronauts. Beginning on Monday October 16 from 3:30 to 4:30, and continuing October 23 and 30, November 6, 13 and 20, travelers will planet hop their way through the solar system and out past the Kuiper Belt to visit quasars, black holes and more! This program is designed for ages 6 and up. Please call the Library to let us know you are coming at 860 364-5041.

Fall Reading Series on Thomas Hardy with Mark Scarbrough: Tess of the D’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy

Hotchkiss Library of Sharon presents a Fall Reading Series on Thomas Hardy, led by Mark Scarbrough. The Emmets: Five Generations of Women Artists: A Lecture by Vicky Ross

Art Historian Victoria Ross, will present an illustrated lecture, “The Emmets: Five Generations of Women Artists,” on Sunday, November 19, at 4pm. Ms. Ross will discuss five generations of distinguished women artists from the Emmet family, who defied Victorian convention by balancing family responsibilities with professional careers. Sharon Cooks Holiday Open House

November 21, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The Friends of the Hotchkiss Library of Sharon are holding a Holiday Open House to celebrate Sharon Cooks, the Library’s community cookbook, on Sunday, December 3rd from 3-5pm.The refreshments (except for wine) will be made from recipes in the cookbook. Among the appetizers served will be Emily Soell’s bruschetta, Cicily Hajek’s crab dip, and Tom Gruenewald’s lentil pate.
