Crocheting for Kids with Bruce Weinstein

February 3, 8, 15 and 22, 3:30 – 5:00p.m. Crochet – it’s like knitting but easier and more fun. Crochet uses only one needle with a hook on the end. Join us at the Library on four afternoons in February and let’s make stuff! We’ll start with the chain stitch. Breakfast Club: Saturday Story Hours!

During the month of February, Mrs. Robin will offer story time for all ages from 10:00 to 10:30 on Saturday mornings (February 4, 11 18 and 25). Stay in your pajamas and bring a bagel to munch while enjoying stories and poems! All ages are welcome!

Young Matisse: A Saturday Mini Series

Budding artists age 6 and up are invited to join Mrs. Robin on Saturdays in February from 11:00 to 12:00 (February 4, 11, 18 and 25). We will look at the dancing figures of Haring and Matisse, the vibrant color shapes of Kandinsky and Hundertwasser and the fathers of Cubism, Picasso and Bracque. Annual Spring Poetry Dinner Featuring Terrance Hayes

Celebrate National Poetry Month by attending the Hotchkiss Library of Sharon’s Annual Spring Poetry Dinner. We are excited to have Terrance Hayes as our poet to read selections from his work. MacArthur Fellowship recipient Mr. Hayes is the author of five poetry collections, including Lighthead, which received the 2010 National Book Award for Poetry.
