Color My Word: Scops and Scribes!

During the month of May, young artists and writers celebrate the ancient art of the decorated word. Children age six and up will look at examples of illuminated manuscripts such as the Book of Kells. Led by Mrs. Robin, they will create marbled paper, hand stenciled borders, learn calligraphy and more! Young Matisse

June 10, 11:00 am - June 24, 12:00 pm

During the month of June, young artists age six and up are invited to join Mrs. Robin for an exploration of American painters Georgia O’Keeffe, Mark Rothko and Edward Hopper on Saturdays (3, 10, 17, 24) from 11:00 to noon. Children will experiment with color, composition and style with mixed media.

Summer Reading Kickoff with Jester Jim!

On Tuesday, July 25, at 11:00 am, we welcome the return of Sunny Kellner. Sunny is the Wildlife Rehabilitation & Outreach Coordinator at the Sharon Audubon Center located in Sharon, CT and travels throughout Connecticut and New York State teaching programs to school groups and organizations about birds of prey, reptiles and other nature or wildlife related topics.  Currently, she also oversees the Center’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Program which admits over 300 injured and orphaned birds each year with the hope…
