Annual Spring Poetry Dinner Featuring Terrance Hayes

Celebrate National Poetry Month by attending the Hotchkiss Library of Sharon’s Annual Spring Poetry Dinner. We are excited to have Terrance Hayes as our poet to read selections from his work. MacArthur Fellowship recipient Mr. Hayes is the author of five poetry collections, including Lighthead, which received the 2010 National Book Award for Poetry. YOUNG MATISSE, PART III: DOT DOT SEURAT

Young artists are invited to join Mrs. Robin on an atelier adventure during Awesome April. Children age six and up will explore Pointillism, Cubism and Surrealism with Seurat, Braque and Dali as they render their own interpretation of style using mixed media. During the month of May, young artists and writers celebrate the ancient art of the decorated word. Children age six and up will look at examples of illuminated manuscripts such as the Book of Kells.
