Annual Summer Book Signing
The Book Signing is just the beginning of our weekend long celebration for readers each August. Local authors gather under white tents to sign and sell their books to benefit the Library. The event features writers of all genres from cookbooks to mysteries to award winning non-fiction, and for all age groups. The Children's Tent is always a popular stop. This is truly one of Sharon’s most anticipated annual events, and is a splendid opportunity to mingle with some of our most celebrated writers.
Annual Summer Book Sale
Everyone looks forward to the Book Sale that takes place on the Saturday and Sunday following the signing. The north lawn of the Library holds books for purchase and some truly special items for bid in our silent auction. Items are reasonably priced and the selection of books is truly amazing. Browsing is encouraged, and everyone leaves with at least one armload of treasures.
Special Events
The April Poetry Dinner is graciously hosted by a library patron and features an outstanding poety every year. Our “Eat, Drink and be Literary” Champagne Gala is a wonderful evening at the Sharon Country Club that features both a silent and live auction.
